Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness 2019
Photographing the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness has been one of my most inspiring adventures. Spanning over a million acres and containing more than 1,100 lakes and 1,500 miles of canoe routes, the BWCAW is one of the most preserved wilderness areas in the United States. It’s a landscape shaped by ancient glaciers, filled with pine forests, mirror-like waters, and incredible wildlife. Paddling through its still lakes and waking to misty sunrises offered endless opportunities to capture its quiet, untouched beauty. Every image from this journey reflects the peace, power, and timeless magic of the Northwoods.
